Lisa
Occupational Therapist
Lisa is an occupational therapist who is passionate about mental health and supporting people in their recovery journeys. Prior to joining Aurora Therapy, she facilitated therapy groups for five years and also used to teach mental health-based units at Curtin University part-time.
Lisa's approach is compassionate, strengths-focused, open-minded and draws on a mix of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy concepts. She also has an interest in sensory modulation and how it can be used to support wellbeing and engagement.
Lisa is also passionate about providing therapy that is neurodiversity-affirming and tailored to the individual. Lisa loves working with both kids and adults. She also enjoys working with clients from the transgender community. She is the proud mum of two gorgeous boys and a lovely cavajack named Lily who she regularly takes for nature walks. Lisa finds joy in reading, time in nature, creative writing, and a good coffee.
