Disability Focused Services

Whether you have acquired a disability, or have a child or loved one who has a disability, there are times when we need a bit of extra help to cope.

These times can be unexpected, the diagnosis might be recent, or perhaps a milestone occasion is bringing up distressing feelings.

Whatever the reason, Aurora Allied Health will partner with you to cope with these feelings and make the most of life.

We can offer programs to assist with:

  • Developing Social Skills

  • Protective Behaviours Skills Building

  • Counseling for Adjustment to Disability

  • Behavioural Support

  • Functional Behavioral Analysis

  • Developing positive self-esteem

    Anxiety and depression

Through our individualized programs, you are able to communicate your goals prior to undertaking an initial assessment.

The assessment is inclusive of clinical interviews and may involve psychometric testing and behavioral observations as required.

Following the assessment, the clinician will discuss findings with you and collaboratively design an individualized therapy program.

Therapy is carried out to an agreed number of sessions and the program is evaluated continuously so that it may be modified as and if required.
